MIAMISBURG Sometimes a heartfelt thank you can be cut from construction paper.Kinder Elementary st guess factory udents in kindergarten through second grade made thank you’s in the form of bookmarks, cards, paper flo guess factory wers and even decorated grocery bags.It was the school’s first “Kinder Caring Kangaroo Day,” the brainchild of teachers who sought a project “that would involve all the children,” according to Lisa Ankeney, a first grade teacher.”No matter how rich or poor, old or young, everyone has the ability to give to others,” Ankeney said.Some of Kinder’s kids, for instance, benefit from food contributed by Miamisburg Helping Hands Food Pantry.The school recently collected 1,380 canned and boxed food items in a guess factory competition with Bear guess factory Elementary School. So Helping Hands got a thank you of paper grocery bags decorated by the kids.Other teachers included Kerri Clark and Shelly Robinson (kindergarten); Andrea Weser (first); and Diane Lealos and Sarah Pelphrey (second).
